Closing out Christmas

This card was completely inspired by sista Heidi. She made a similar card in cherry cobbler (which looks nicer, by the way) but I was set on using poppy parade for some reason and had to jazz it up because of it. So, I grabbed some buttons from the current holiday mini catalog and thank goodness there is matching ribbon... and came up with this. I made a bunch of these and swapped them with my club members and it was a hit. Thanks, Heidi! I've been working ahead on Valentines today. I really wanted to post one, but thought the better of it at this point. I'm working on some leadership swap options and just having some nice stamp time overall. Love that! Plus, I took the boys to Tangled- A must see! Lots of girl time today! Sera

Christmas Bingo Cards

I couldn't resist this bingo card stamp and the jolly bingo bits set. Really, I had no reason to get it other than they are so cute! So I decided to actually use the sets for a variety of activities with my sons, my sunday school class and my stamp club. I used chocolate chip ink on sahara sand cardstock and the bits are a variety of colors that were dark enough to show up nice on the sahara sand. There are 12 cards all together and they are all mounted on night of navy cardstock. Each card is a different pattern and I punched out about 100 circles as marker pieces. So, I'm packing up the Christmas cards and items both in my house and stamp room. I don't have the heart to take the trees down quite yet, you know that goes? One day I decide to get it all down in one shot, once I'm ultimately sick of it all. Stamping sounds much better! Sera

Simple Noel

This is one of my fave designs that is super quick and simple. The base color is rich razzleberry and I believe I posted a similar monochromatic card sometime this fall, I think. We did this card at my stamp a stack in November. I have a few extra pieces cut and I plan to do the exact same thing, just change up the sentiment. I have a bunch of winter birthdays! Enjoy the last few days of the year... my cleaning is going well in the stamp room. I even had time to bake some oatmeal butterscotch chocolate drops this afternoon. We are the proud owners of a new snowmobile (it's not new, just new to us) and so the boys are all outside while the weather is nice. I've had time to play too, hee hee. Sera

Wrappin' up the Holidays

Here is the final group of tags! Awesome work sistas! I apologize that the pictures are sideways or upside down... it's been that kind of holiday! Hee hee! I hope you all had a great Christmas. I plan to share a few more Christmas items as we close out the year. It's also the annual clean out the stamp room week so I'll keep all of you updated on that progress. I spent time with some sistas that are out of town, Kristine and Becky and we all gave each other SU product... so fun! We had some fun times catching up and looking forward to the Feb regional. Carolyn is coming too and happy belated birthday to her as well! Sera

Christmas Tag Swap

At our sista demonstrator meeting in November, we exchanged Christmas tags... here are a few to show off! I'm unsure whose tags are whose, but they are all awesome. I will be sure to share the other set tomorrow. Merry Christmas Eve everyone! Sera

Christmas Confections

This was a display at convention where they showcased SU colors as well as all sorts of great mini gift ideas and cute display items. I posted a few birthday ideas a few months ago... and as you can see the Christmas set-up is pretty awesome as well! Happy last minute Christmas preparations! Sera

Home Decor Christmas Ideas

If you are still looking through the awesome holiday mini catalog... here are a few ideas for your holiday decorating and inspiration. The valance below was made with the new fabric in the holiday mini catalog. I don't have the specs, but all of you seamstresses out there will have that figured out in no time I'm sure. Pretty cute isn't it?
The decor elements have also been fun to work with this holiday season. These dishes make great gifts, I've made a few of these as well as a few variations with clear dishes. I love working with decor elements, a quick and easy wow (especially for last minute gift givers)! Sera

Christmas samples

I found some photos of a few Christmas faves. I believe these were all taken at convention, so I have no idea who to give props to (as my son would say), but they are all awesome! I've taken thousands of photos over the years and made the commitment to actually review them every once in a while and I've done just that and I've CASED many of them as of late. I'll be sharing my faves all week... off to watch my honey, BF. Sera

Christmas at Convention

Here are a few more convention photos and Christmas ideas. How cute is this shutter? Repainted and restored... so neat as a Christmas card display. I do like the ornament in the second picture. We made a few of those with some scraps of fabric and it's quick and easy and a definite "boy and mom" thing. My boys enjoyed it at least. The last photo is neat, just the tree skirt itself is amazing. The fabric has been a hit this year! Sera

Convention Christmas

This Christmas tree was on display in the convention center this past summer. Shelli and her daughter Sara had a great time sharing these ideas with us. There are a few more that I will share tomorrow. The style is very Sheeliesque! Enjoy! Sera
This tree below was in momento mall this year. I love seeing Christmas trees in July! As you can see, there are all sorts of ornaments there and plenty of demonstrators loving those ornaments!

Christmas Thanks

I received this card from Kristine the other day... a great thank you card. That is something I don't do enough... send Christmas thank you notes. I'm lucky I get Christmas cards sent for heavens sake. She punched the circle out of the ornament and put a snowflake inside, clever! Quick post today! Sera

Christmas Fudge

This is a cute idea using a Hershey bar and some DSP... and together with a Jingle Bell tune it makes a cute gift. I made a bunch of these for expos as well as for a few fun gifts and they were a hit. You can click on the picture and see the poem. If you search for Christmas fudge poems online, you'll find it in a snap. So how are you doing with your Christmas cards, wrapping and shopping? We're snowed in here so I'm cleaning out all sorts of closets and cupboards... I was going to bake since everything that we had planned for the day is cancelled, but when I opened my pantry, a cereal box fell out and everything was on the floor, so I decided to clean it all out, scrub, throw things away, organize... two hours later I didn't feel like baking so I cleaned. Pathetic! My stamp room is looking better so I plan to hunker down in there for the night! Yahoo! Sera

40 holiday cards

Today was day one of two with a house full of ladies making 40 Christmas cards using the Simple Scrappin' Christmas Cheer set. Here are my samples all lined up on the counter. This year's colors were CheCobbler, Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke, and Marina Mist. The first day went well and I sold TWO Big Shotz out of it without even having catalogs out. Tomorrow a second group of woman will be here to do the same thing with Charlene and I. This has become my favorite Stampin' event of the year! Happy Stampin', Nicolle
