The Concord Crusher

This super simps card was a hit at my card class today. I had cards from easy to advanced and many stampers loved the Motorcycle. We named it the concord crusher, get it? The color is concord crush, of course, a new 2010 In Color. There is a rhinestone jewel on the motorcycle... with a keen eye you can see it. It makes the card. The DSP is among the hostess pack and everything coordinates perfectly! If you are still considering ordering this stamp, you only have a few days! The Summer Mini Catalog ends this Tuesday! On another note, congratulations to Angie as she celebrates 6 years with Stampin' Up, today! We are lucky to have her in our group! Here's to another six years... at least! Yahoo! Sera

The last days of Sweet Scoops

I cannot remember if I shared this card yet. If so, sorry! My sons just had some mint chocolate chip ice cream moments ago and I remembered this card and thought it was a great time to remind everyone that we only have a few days left of the summer mini catalog! The card to the right is made with pear pizazz and soft suede. The color is drab... I was experimenting with the camera, clearly not doing the best job... but the card is cute! This set, Sweet Scoops is awesome. If you don't have it yet, contact your demonstrator today! Sera

Many Welcomes

My friend Mary's family room was begging for the "Many Welcomes" Decor Elements vinyl art. I helped her install it last week--isn't it perfect in her space?? It took much patience to transfer to the wall because it's so detailed, but it was worth the work. Happy Wednesday! Julie

Just Believe 3

We made this card at a class that Heidi and I had a few weeks ago. It's very similar to the make and take we did at convention, but modified a bit. The card is soft suede and the stamped images are the same color but stamped off a few times. That circle was made from the circles two die cut. It's simply the negative image and we sponged inside. Nice and simple! Sera

Happy Birthday, Angie!

Sista Angie is celebrating her birthday today and here is a festive card for the occasion! We learned how to make these pinwheels at convention and we created them ourselves at our downline meeting a few weeks ago. Even though this DSP is retired, it is perfect for the pinwheel. Since our DSP is printed on both sides you can't miss with this great card fold! I plan to try this with the new In Color DSP... so cute. Enjoy everyone and have a great day, Angie! Sera

Welcome Home

For my first post as a Sista, I'll share this housewarming gift I made for my best friend from high school, who just moved back to the Midwest after spending 10 years in Boston! And she moved right to my town! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. So of course, I started papercrafting (isn't that what everyone does when they're excited?), and came up with this. I used the Big Shot, a Stampin' Up! designer paper pack (subtles collection), Very Vanilla and Early Espresso cardstock, and 3/8" twill tape. The Big Shot dies were the Scallop Square and Circles #2. Thanks for reading, Julie

Birthday Bash!

Lee Ann made this awesome card for our sista swap last meeting and I love it. She also used it for her convention swap and it earned rave reviews. The DSP used here is Celebrations and the fun colors are perfect for birthday cards. The stamp sets are Grunge Rock, Sandpaper and Extreme Elements. Love them all, especially for boy and teenage cards! Great Job, Lee Ann! Sera

Just Believe 2

I've been having a great time with this set, which did not appeal to me all that much when I received it. This card is chocolate chip with riding hood red and more mustard. Get your markers out with this stamp! It's fun to color and the image came out great! Since I didn't pull out the ribbon for this card, I did open up some buttons and this more mustard accent matches perfectly! On a NSR note, it's BF watch all this week. He's coming... I can feel it, just believe (get it)? Sera

Decorated Notebooks

I needed two gifts rather quickly and I refused to go and get a gift card. So, pull together some resources, meaning, look at the 5,000 things in your closet that you planned to "craft with" someday and make something! These composition notebooks were just the thing for the perfect birthday gifts. The recipients are two girls in middle school, so they should be a hit. I used retired items such as the DSP, felt flowers, chipboard letters, ribbon etc. These were some of my faves and I love how they coordinate together! Sera

Just Believe

At Convention this year, we received this set, Just Believe, FREE in our convention bags. As you can see, the set is a big hit! At our monthly meeting last night, we had a new catalog card swap and this set was used for many of the cards. They look great sistas! These gems were made by Carmen and Heidi. I love them! Sera

Level one luncheon swaps

Last month I took my level one stamping friends on a surprise excursion. The day was filled with stamping, food, shopping, hiking, (I know, hiking... too bad two of the five of us are afraid of heights!) playing some games AND a trip to the next state over. Below are the cards that we swapped. The card creators are Sera, Kristine, Angie and Becky in that order. Great work everyone! Heidi's card is a secret card that we can't share with you just yet... stay tuned! So since the objective was to keep the girls surprised... they had no idea the plans for the day. That was so fun! Everyone had such a great SU! year and they work hard with not only their jobs and families, but they all are creative stampers that love Stampin' Up and it shows! Thanks for your friendships ladies! Congratulations, Carmen!

This year was an exceptional year for the sistas as one sista was able to walk across the stage for her $100,000 sales milestone. Congratulations, Carms! This first picture is at the awards booth where she was congratulated by Stampin' Up! on such a great achievement. She also received some details about her pin and the cash award she received as well! The two pictures below are of the celebration march! What an exciting day! Great job, Carmen! Sera

5 minute wedding card

You've all done this right? Waited until about 15 minutes before you have to leave for the wedding and realize you still have to make a card?!?! Yes that was me on Saturday. I was really happy with what I came up with though.

The base is Chocolate Chip and the front layer is Very Vanilla which has been run through the Big Shot using the Elegant Bouquet Impressions folder. The verse on the front is from the new Level 3 Hostess Set, Occasional Quotes. As much as I love my flower and image sets, sometimes you just can't beat a great "word" set! I punched out the greeting using the Oval Extra Large (FKA - Wide Oval) punch and mounted it with some dimensionals. I really like the look of tone on tone for the words. A little 3/8" taffeta ribbon finishes off the front!

Inside is the matching verse. My favorite part about this hostess set is the matching inside and outside verses. Something for every occasion and finishes off your card in a snap! ~Heidi

Only 30 days

If you are interested in some of the stamp sets in the summer mini catalog, don't wait too long. The set below, Sweet Scoops is one of the many that will no longer be available after August 31. If you would like to view the mini catalog... the link is to the left. Both of the cards below are tone on tone using the square lattice impressions folder. It's a subtle but balanced way to create texture on your cards. I used the ribbon for more texture by simply placing it on the card making little bumps and adhereing them with a mini glue dot. This color combo was created by advice from the new color coach. A must have! Colors included are tempting turquoise, chocolate chip, pumpkin pie, real red and rich razzleberry, Below... that soft serve ice cream is melon mambo. It sure looks sharp with soft suede! Sera
