SMC! A few more days to go!

This card is Heidi's simple graduation card that is a real knock out. This neutral card is a great idea for anyone and it's nice and easy for the quick card on the run, male or female. Heidi has made a bunch of these in school colors as well! As I look at this card (it's a swap, no name) I cannot wait for 4th of Juky stamping. I love it. I'm ready to make a few cards with that set, even for Memorial Day! Sera

SMC! Elements of Style

I feel as though I blogged this card before? How sad is that? This was my card for our group swap from the last downline meeting. If you look closer, I "grounded" the flowers with the en francais stamp over the top. Then I used some watercolor crayons to color the flowers. It's very subtle, and so not me. A nice set to get me out of my BOLD comfort zone. The base of this card is aprocot appeal, note that this color will retire on one month. If you want your hands on this color or others, contact me or one of the sistas today! Sera

SMC! Last of the grad cards

This is the last of the grad cards for now. Sarah does it again with these cute buggers! Love them! They make a great card or gift tag depending on your needs. As you all know, I'm not an owl girl, but Sarah, these are so cute! I just need to see them in purple and gold! Wink, wink! Sera

SMC! More Go, Graduate

Here are two more versions of Sarah's awesome card, one for yesterday and one for today. Love them both. She has convinced many stampers that this is a set we can't live without! It's nice to see so many color options, certainly one for any school, college or university out there! Thanks Sarah for the great ideas! Sera

SMC! Go, Graduate!

Another graduation card, made by Sarah, of course. If you enlarge the photo you can see some water coloring on the graduation gowns. How clever! The card is nice and simple and that color finishes it off perfectly! Sarah bailed me out for my last workshop and let me borrow this set. Of course I 2-day aired my order and ordered the 4th of July set (I put the wrong number in) instead of this one. It would have made the graduation stamp-a-stack more interesting I guess! Geesh! Thank you Sarah! Sera

SMC! Graduation

If you look on the last page of the summer mini catalog, you'll see the one stamp set, Happy Grad. It is very cool. This is a card that Sarah made. She shared it with us at our last downline meeting. You can see the graduation hats from the set Go, Graduate. Another great set from this mini catalog. Oh... and one more thing... the texture behind the sentiment was made from the new embossing folder, textured impressions. Awesome card Sarah! Sera

Ten days of the Mini Catalog!

I made a few of these cards for Mother's Day. The set is Elements of Style, a Shelli signature collection stamp set. I've enjoyed trying lots of different colors and techniques with this set and of course, real red is my all time fave! It looks very Twilightish, I thought. Anything to connect that movie and stamping of course! Enjoy this card and ten more, starting May 22, from the new summer mini catalog. Ten days of SMC bliss! Sera

Hang on!

NSR- We just got our carpet downstairs, but in the midst of disconnecting and reconnecting everything, our Internet is out. So once I get that taken care of, we'll have SMC week. I should be back online tomorrow. On the one hand, our basement is completely finished and I'm thrilled, just need to get to the details. Thanks for your patience. Sera

Happy Mother's Day!

I certainly hope everyone has a wonderful Mother's Day. I hope you had time to stamp as well. I was able to sneak in a few minutes here and there. I'm busy getting ready for SMC week which begins tomorrow. The sistas and I will have all sorts of projects that highlight the summer mini catalog. You won't want to miss it! Sera

More Upsy Daisy!

Just a few more cards with that same theme in mind (see yesterday's post). There are a few changes, but the concept is the same. Fun! Sadly we aren't seeing many flowers around here with the snow. We had three soccer games this morning and it snowed for each of them. The boys thought it was great of course! Sera

Dusty Upsy Daisy

At regional in Milwaukee a demonstrator demoed this card and I was fired up! I love this set and use it often, but I'm always looking for a different layout. Stamping the main image once and then again right next to it is such a great effect that is so simple. Looking at the first picture it may be tricky to see where the card opens, hence the next photo. So when you open it, the words stay where they are at. Heidi and Lee Ann get some credit for the color choice. I've been working with the in colors quite a bit, but haven't spent much time with Dusty Durango. Heidi suggested that I try it with this Upsy Daisy set and coincidently, Lee Ann used this color for a meeting make and take and it's perfect. I love our group! Thanks for the inspiration sistas! Sista Meeting Highlights

We had a super meeting last month! The sistas get together once a month to stamp, share ideas and to just hang out and oogle about SU! Heidi shared a great technique that she learned at regional. It involves an image stamped with staz on ink onto a window sheet. On the back side of the window sheet smear (hence the gloves) some crystal effects and some glitter. Then adhere that to some white tissue paper and voila! Of course there is a little more to it than that, but look at the card she made at the below.
That is the great part about our meetings... everyone has an opportunity to share if they like and we learn such great ideas from each other! This group is truly an inspiration! Can't wait until we meet next week! Oh- and by the way... next week we begin SMC week! Summer Mini Catalog cards will be showcased the entire week. Cant' wait! Sera

Summer Party, tropical style

Below are a few examples that Pam Morgan shared with us at Leadership in Milwaukee last month. Both of these tropical party items can be found on page 5 of the new summer occasions mini catalog, click at the right to view. The lei was made with the Island Floral Bigz die. Isn't it remarkable? What an awesome party favor! The party favor boxes below are pre die-cut boxes that are ready to go. There are 12 boxes and 12 belly bands in this Island Oasis kit! Time to start thinking summer! Sera
