Re-inker Technique!

This technique is a wow everytime. I used rubbing alcohol and re-inkers on glossy cardstock, smeared it all over with wax paper and my brayer and voila! Some serene snowflakes over the top and... instant card. This is a great one-sheet-wonder technique because it drys so fast and you're never quite sure what you'll get! I haven't made a card with three strips and a simple sentiment for a long time... love the good ole techniques and card layouts from long ago! Sera

Black & White Christmas Thanks

This card was a little wild for me when I made it a few weeks ago. I was super excited to use the DSP, Night and Day Specialty, but realized it was pretty Halloweenish for Christmas, but I made it work. The stampers in our club loved it! The smaller picture shows that the last ornament is on the inside of the card with the rhinestone brad. If you have your eye on this DSP, give it a try. Included in the pack of DSP you will find some window sheets too. How fun! Thanks sistas for blogging recently! Awesome creations, thank you! Sera

Fall Pillow Box Basket

I think it was on Beate's BLOG where I first saw the tutorial for this great little basket. Now they seem to be everywhere and in many other designs (santa, holiday, birthday, etc.) Here is my first attempt at it. This basket was given to a great hostess who loves all things Big Shot and loves little gift packaging things. To make this, you start with the Pillow Box die and cut out 3 shapes. Adhere them together end to end and then do some creative trimming (free hand) to make the top and bottom edges. 3 strips of paper, 1" x 5", are used to reinforce the bottom. Each strip is scored 1/2" from both ends. Two 4" circles are then added - one on top of the strips, one underneath the strips. Use lots of Sticky Strip to be sure it all stays together. Watch Beate's tutorial - it makes perfect sense. The leaves on the front are from the Leaves #2 Die. Stamp set used is hostess level 1, Holiday Best. Colors are More Mustard, Soft Suede, Garden Green and Ruby Red. Thanks for looking! ~Heidi

In keeping with a theme ...

I was inspired by Sera's use of the Razzleberry & Pretty In Pink re-inker combination and created this card when I got home Saturday night. Thanks ladies for the awesome time. I used glossy, pale plumb, whisper white and basic gray CS with gray taffeta ribbon and fire circle brad. Lots of layers and dimensionals. Angie

Serene Snowflakes & Vellum

The snowflakes on this card are muted in a sense, with the vellum on top of bashful blue cardstock. The snowflakes are stamped with night of navy, bashful blue, chocolate chip and maybe a few in soft suede. The card takes only a few minutes! I've thought about adding a few elements from the pretties kit, which I may do. I do like it "as is" though! If you are wondering, I do have other stamp sets aside from the three Christmas sets that I've been blogging as of late. After our Christmas party, I have a whole bunch of great ideas. I'm sure the sistas will be blogging them soon! Sera

Christmas Party!

Great fun was had by all at our second annual Sista Christmas party. We had swaps, a make & take, plenty of awesome ideas and great cards to share. A huge success. The best part about being a demonstrator is having awesome nights like these with your stamping buddies! Thanks for hosting us Lee Ann! The card above was similar to the make and take we made, yea, sorry, don't have a picture of that one at the moment. I'll share that later. What an awesome event! Thank you sistas! Sera

Chocolate flakes

The deer on this card is from the set, Winter Post. There is a strip of Christmas Cocoa DSP that pulls the card together. I put soft suede and chocolate chip together and didn't like the scheme to well at first. I kept stamping snowflakes until I ran out of white space and the card came together. I'm still loving that Serene Snowflakes set! Sera

More Dasher

Here is another Dasher card! It isn't too much different than the last Dasher card... more traditional perhaps! My son came into my stamp room the other day and saw this card. He shared with me that he doesn't see "green reindeer" very often (with some sarcasm). So... I asked him if the blue tree he made in Kindergarten a while back was something that he saw very often. "Yeah," he said, "You stamped a blue tree once that gave me the idea!" And there you have it. Sera

Sista Kristine's fave holiday set

This delightful decorations set is awesome! I've been working with the Christmas cocoa DSP again and I was able to use the punch to match up two red ornaments that each have an actual design to them. That DSP is pretty cool. If you could only rub it and smell it... then they would have something! This is a simple card that was made to feel the DSP and you can barely see that it does say Happy Holidays in soft suede at the top. Very Fun! Happy Brithday sista Kristine! Sera

Simple Serene Snowlakes

Everyone knows how much I like Orchid Opulence (not!) but it matches the rhinestone brads (ice) and I love it with this card. I took the colors from the Cottage Wall DSP (old olive and rich razzleberry too) and was going for the non-traditional holiday card that I mentioned yesterday. I've been cranking out a ton of cards with this set and I do love it! I've had about 1,000 snowflake stamps at one point, but this one is my favorite! Off to finish up some Halloween treats, I'll post those as well. Sera
