Using that color coach!

I went to the color coach for this match up!  This is perfect plum, lucky limeade and riding hood red.  The ribbon is retired, but the colors are fairly striking together.  The photo was taken the same day as earlier in the week, so the settings are all off, but it's fun to work out of the box.  Hope you had a nice weekend!  I'm off to stamp!  Sera

In Color Friday

Island Indigo and Calypso Coral are very fun for summer.  Together with Daffodil Delight, they make this cute card a great thank you note.  I always struggle with stamp sets that have a "stripe of images" in a row, so I "spotlighted" one of the boys and it worked!  This stamp set, Sunny Fun has an ice cream and sandal "stripe" that I'll need to try next.  This stamp set is only available through the end of August.  If you would like to see it, click on the summer mini catalog on the right!  Sera

In Color Thursday

I am having a great time creating cards with the new In Colors.  For today, Lucky Limeade and Wisteria Wonder are featured with Elegant Eggplant.  They are super together.  If you have a color coach, you'll be excited to know that there are five new inserts for these colors and they also have  dynamic duos and color matches on the back.  I found this combo on the back of the Lucky Limeade color coach card.  I used the ever popullar Fun Flowers die to make the flower and the DSP is Elegant Eggplant, part of the Regals DSP Paper Pack that is returning in the new Idea Book and Catalog!  Love it!  Sera

In Color Wednesday

Here is on the Grow again!  If you haven't had a chance to peek at this set in the Summer mini, be sure to check it out on the right of your screen.  The In Color du jour here is the calypso coral.  The flowers are also colored with this color as well as wisteria wonder... love it!  There is only about one week until the NEW Idea Book and Catalog makes it's debut!  So exciting!  Sera

In Color Tuesday

I hope you are enjoying In Color week.  I am so excited to see that these awesome colors are here to stay for two years!  Yahoo!  This is Wisteria Wonder again, my fave of the bunch!  You do see another In Color here as well, Lucky Limeade, more on that later!  This stamp set is On the Grow, currently in the Summer mini.  I've enjoyed coloring all of those flowers.  You'll see a few more cards with this set later in the month as well.  It's a great set for summer!  Sera

In Color Monday

This card features Island Indigo again.  Very nice!  It's paired with Rich Razzleberry and rich is right!  The lighting of the photo is a little off, thats what I get for experimenting with the camera.  I stamped with the Strength and Hope set, such a great set!  Sera

In Color Sunday

I'm still hooked on the flowers in this hostess set!  Pool party makes a splash again in this card and the new color is island indigo!  For all of the stampers out there that miss taken with teal, this is a nice comprimise.  Perhaps there is a little bermuda bay mixed in for good measure.  You'll notice the new punch as well, you will love that!  This border punch is sure to be a huge it.  I have a few other cards that will showcase this punch later in the week.  The new catalog debuts in two short weeks!  How exciting!  Sera

In Color Saturday

This card has a few new elements other than just the new in color, calypso coral.  The DSP, Just Add Cake is new this year as well.  There are many colors to this DSP, in fact to be totally honest, I guessed and thought wow, this sure matches nicely, then realized... ah, there isn't any calypso coral in this DSP at all, it's peach parfait.  Since I realized this about four seconds ago, I figured I would be honest... but the base is calypso coral and it coordinates, but isn't spot on.  How's that for putting it all together?  The die is one of my faves, flower daisies #2, I love it!  A quick card that packs a punch!  I hope you are enjoying In Color week!  Sera

In Color Friday

Here is the first sneak peek at the In Colors for 2011 - 2013.  The colors showcased today are Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder.  Fresh and Fun!  The embossing folder, Flower Garden is in the summer mini catalog as is the sentiment.  That stamp belongs to the level one hostess set, Swirls and Curls Verses, but I have the French version, Belles Tournures.  If the flowers look a little different to you, I flipped the over, so you are seeing the negative image here, very cool!  Stay tuned all week for In Color Week!  Sera

Gratitude

I made a bunch of these cards and they turned out to be really handy for retirements, appreciation, etc.  I was inspired by the last two books that I've read, one a romantic comedy, one a family thriller but both were stories that had to do with sailing.  The nautical theme is everywhere, from big box stores, clothing, to books, decor and even stamps.  Way to go SU for keeping up with the trends.  The sentiment is one from the retiring stamp set, Define your Life.  That set is a keeper.  The sail boat of course is in the current mini catalog.  You can view that as well as the retired list, simply click the links to the left.  Remember, tomorrow I'll share some cards with you that will be created with the new In Colors that will debut in two weeks!  Can't wait!  Sera

The sun is out!

Finally the sun is out.  Here I am of course,  inside blogging.  Hee hee!  This card is sunshiny though!  Another card with the Love and Care hostess set, love that!  I'll have a few more to share with this set later in the week. Starting this Friday though, I will share the new in colors for 2011 - 2012.  My preorder has arrived and I decided to dive right in and give them a try.  Together in a group, they are outstanding!  I love colors, so it's fun to play with something new! Stay tuned!  Sera

Summer Mini Hostess set

This card was created with the Level two hostess set, Love and Care, as seen on page 5 of the current mini catalog.  Lots of things going on with this card but the colors together are awesome!  They are daffodil delight, tempting turquoise and poppy parade.  I love the large buttons that SU has been carrying this past year... I hope to see a many more! Happy Flag Day!  Sera

Triple Layer Punches

Here are two awesome cards featuring the triple layer punches in the current mini catalog.  If you check out page six, you will see that there are two punches that can punch in three layers!  The doily triple punch (122465) card #2, and the blossom bouquet triple punch (122464) card #1.  There are so many great uses for these punches!  Thanks for your talents Tasha and Carmen!  As you look through the mini catalog, you'll notice the DSP and the stamp set used to make the card below.  These items are in the Beyond the Garden Suite collection!  They are awesome! Surfs Up, Dude!

Here is a card that sista Julie made!  Happy one year SU Anniversary to her!  Summer is finally here, now that school is out, according to my sons.  This awesome stamp set is in the current mini catalog, Summer Splash (123035).  The colors in this card are terrific, and my youngest son said "Surfs up dude" when he saw it.  I would agree!  Sera

Last chance to play...

I had to use the Sweet and Sour DSP for one more event before it went away.  The above card combines old with the new by using the Pretty Postage stamp set and punch from the summer mini with the soon to be gone Sweet and Sour.

Bugs and Kisses is my FAVORITE kid set.  Since I don't have my own kids I don't make a lot of kid themed cards.  This is my go to, in a pinch kid card.  Tomorrow Char and I have a Stamp-A-Stack with a few old things going away and a few teasers for the new one.  I needed to "worm" in one more buggy card!  Too bad there isn't a mosquito stamp in the set to do a TRULY Alaska summer bug card.  Take care, Nicolle

Paisley Petals DSP

This DSP, Paisley Petals was a "tease" for what is to come in the new catalog, and it didn't disappoint!  These awesome cards were a part of our downline meeting last month... Mary are these yours?  Carmen?  They both brought awesome samples I need to get the credit right!  Alright, I'm on a quest to clean and stamp today!  I've been reading this book that I cannot put down, I'll share the title on the blog another day, and it's terrific. I read ten chapters last night and a storm came through and it snapped me out of the book and I realized the hour... that doesn't happen too often!  I also spent some time going through the SU retirement list. View the list on the right to check on some of your faves!  Time to get moving, but that book...  Sera

Strength and Hope

This stamp set is in the current summer mini catalog and if you click the link on the right you'll be able to see more information.  Stampin' Up is donating $2 to the Breast Cancer Foundation for each stamp set that is sold between now and August 31.  The two cards above were stamped by Heidi and shared at our last sista meeting.  Thanks, Heidi!  I have been enjoying this set and plan to share later in the week.  Other than that, whew, it's an exciting time... retired sets, new catalog, new colors... in a few short weeks, convention!  It's great to be a demonstrator!  Sera
