Goodbye to Bliss

With today being the opening of baseball season, it also means that the huge winter promotion has come to an end, winter too? My son has declared that he is NOT taking his boots to school anymore either, he's sick of them! Signs of Spring! Below is a card that Carmen shared with us at our sista downline meeting last week, it's awesome! There are all sorts of things happening here, but the main image is upside down and I love that. Although depending on your preference it may not be upside down to you, just thought of that. At any rate, it's a great card to end the Sale-a-Bration season! Thanks, Carmen! Sera

Celebrations and Saleabration

Sista Becky sent this card to my son Connor who turned eight on Sunday. He was fired up! Becky even water colored the monster. This set, Make A Monster is so cute and a hit with all the kids in our family. You can make the monsters "girly" as well, so I've been told, "wink." Yesterday at my friend Beth's we had a great time stamping with her friends and her SAB workshop. It hit me on the drive over that March 28 is my eleven year anniversary with Stampin' Up! Wow. It's been so awesome! How exciting... with that however, it has been eleven SABs (Sale-A-Brations) and this one only has three more days! Contact your demonstrator today to place your SAB order! Hoping for Spring

If we continue to make spring cards then spring will come is what we decided the other night at our stamp meeting! Here is a card made with build a blossoms of course... rich razzleberry and old olive. Bold brights, gotta love 'em! I have an event coming up that is going to stretch me a bit as I dive into a vintage look and theme. I'll be sure to share. Should be interesting, you probably won't be seeing many of these bold brights! Sera

Ice Cream Parlor

At our sista downline meeting last night, we spent some time working with simply scrappin' kits as well as the DSP and quick accents pack (122242), Ice Cream Parlor. This is a freebie option during Sale-A-Bration this month. Angie had some great tips for using our scrappin' kits, in fact we plan to roll that idea over at our stamp escape retreat in April! This kit matches a stamp set as well as a ribbon and button pack (123529). Every color coordinates of course! Sera

Tangerine Blossoms

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you had a nice weekend! I was a busy little bee getting all sorts of things done. Below though are two cards that I made using the build a blossom set. I used tangerine tango and old olive for the first and pear pizazz for the second card... and then a splash of tempting turquoise as well. I can't get enough of the buttons! I punched the center of the flower first and then layered the petals to the back and fanned them out so they touched the edge of the whisper white cardstock. I've seen a variation of this idea in a few places. I've grown to love this set and punch! Sera

Fabric!

This card was made for my sister and her husband for their annivresary next month. I have a sneaky feeling that I may have blogged this card already, but it has fabric on it so it's worth another look. The Love in the background comes from the Lots of Love Letterpress plate (120983). The ink is choocolate chip on soft suede. Of course, no card is complete without some texture. I have a large melon mambo button there and some fabric from the Springtime Vintage designer fabric series (121817). The card is quick and easy and did I mention the fabric? Love it! Sera

Some pear pizazz

Here is another set of In Color cards, similar to the set before. Many of you have liked this project and have made a set or two of your own which is awesome! My favorite item in the catalog is the DSP, by far and I love the fact that there is a hostess option of DSP as well The patterns have been great and I've made about 50 of these cards! Enjoy! Sera

Using the Springtime Suite

So yes, I've been using the springtime vintage suite items quite a bit. The rose is one of the prints on the DSP so it was nice to use that as a great focal point. I've showcased many of these items this past week on this blog and I was able to share a bunch of them at my workshop today... they loved them! In this lovely state we are more than excited to stamp with flowers at this time of year. The main colors in this card are always artichoke and baja breeze and they work perfectly with the real rose rose. I'm still using those vintage rose adornments. Love them! Sera

Building more Blossoms

This card was created after working at length with the Springtime Vintage DSP, I decided that it was time to use the other sides of the DSP. Since build a blossom is my stamp set du jour, I made this after putting all of the elements together. I put an adornment (121879) in the center, vintage flower adornments to be exact. This one is rose red. I do love how everything matches! The petals of this flower have been curled with the bone folder, but the opposite way so the tips are pointing upward. Love it! Sera

She's a star!

One month ago we had the pleasure of watching Julie demonstrate on stage at the MPLS regional. She did an awesome job. We had such a great time watching her... she was a natural! She demonstrated an animal print technique as you can see on the pictures below. The last picture is the cutest "bag" ever, love that alligator skin. We are very proud of Julie and we're quite sure we will see her on the big stage again! Congrats, Julie! Sera

Springtime Vintage DSP

In working with the springtime vintage DSP I decided to try it with the Blossom Petals punch. Instead, the flower petals are not stamped, just punched. It's a different look and being that the DSP is two sided, it makes some great flowers. The card below adornes some basic pearls, (119247) a pear pizazz big button (122301) and some victoria crochet trim (118481). This is out of the box for me. Very fun! Sera

Springtime Vintage Suite

It's not too early to celebrate Easter is it? Below are two creations with the Springtime Vintage DSP (121782) as well as the Easter Blossoms (121905) stamp set. We made a similar version at our February stamp sista meeting and everyone shared some awesome ideas with not only the set and the DSP, but the matching seam binding, buttons, rosettes and glass glitter. Be sure to check out the Springtime Vintage Suite, pp. 14 - 19 in the Occasions mini catalog for all of your spring creating! Sera

Build some blossoms!

I've been loving this build a blossom set and the matching punch. I needed to be convinced, but when a few of my customers saw it in the occasions mini catalog and were so excited... I figured I had better try it! I have about 15 different cards that I have made with it, some better than others. Let me know what you think! I was going through the color coach and came across this combo and had to give it a go. I love love melon mambo and those buttons are awesome! It has been fun to collect them! One tip that has been useful for me is to use the bone folder to curl the petals. When I put the entire flower on the card base then, I pushed it down and adhered it in the center and the leaves "pop" up a bit. It makes for a more dimensional card. Love it! Sera

Think Spring

I was looking through a few a swaps and came across this cute card. In planning my spring workshops I was looking for a few unique color combos and this is perfect. It's a busy week... I'll have more spring cards to share later in the weekend! Sera
