Spring Gifts
Here are some fun spring or summer time gifts to make for teachers, mother's and friends! The Notes pad flowers are from our Pink Flamingo DSP and I cut out the flowers. Yep, with scissors. No fancy tools needed!
The flowers on the other two projects are cut from the Embosslits Dies, SU Cherry Blossom. How do you get the white outline? A little sanding from the sanding block, and the raised areas lose the color and you see the white!!!! Think of the possibilities with the textured embossing dies!!!!
I have been so busy with my Senior Party duties, I am not getting the time to play with my stamps that I want. Plus, work gets in the way! Now that I am back in the school system, BRING ON SUMMER!!!!

Regional Samples, and a story!
One great thing about being a demonstrator is that we have the opportunity to attend many SU events all over the nation if we want to. These samples are all from the boards at the Milwaukee regional. This Awash with Flowers set is the new Watercolor Garden, I tell ya! Okay, now for the story. We have a string of winners these past few SU! events. It started with Carmen (Convention) Sera (Convention two times in a row) Angie, then Heidi (Convention), then Sarah, Carmen (Leadership) and now Kristine. She won a stamp set at the regional. They flash a bunch of names on the screen, not all of the names were present apparently, so they had to flash up one more name... it was Kristine! On the board all by herself! Of course it was! Too bad I missed the photo! So yahoo for her, she won Tote-ally Tess! (There is more to the story that doesn't need to be printed, I'll share that with you in due time, hee hee!) Sera

Administrative Professionals Day
I had a great time with this set, Flower Fancy. Sista Carmen was nice enough to let me have her set for the week and I made 8 sets of cards, 4 per pattern (not all of them are pictured), 32 total!
I have a bunch of retired buttons that I used and even some retired colors to create these notecards. They were fun to make and there is nothing like a great two-step stamp set to create the perfect card. This set, along with a few others are on sale this month with Stampin' Up! Click the link to the right (at the top) and check them out! Also, there is a sneak peek at a new two-step set and I love that one two! Check out the samples below this post.
Above, are the 3x3 cards that I made and then attached them to the package. I didn't use these stamps for the main gift so of course, I had to try them! Below is basically how they'll look when I give them to our administrative assistants. I used some clear boxes that sista Lee Ann found for us last fall. They make the perfect gift container in a pinch! Even though each set of 8 cards are the same, I was able to interchange them so each gift looks different through the box. I included envelopes as well... and plenty of organdy ribbon to finish them off! This is why I am a demonstrator... I love to stamp and I love to give stamped gifts too! Sera

Awash w/ Flowers
This is the last week to order this great set before July 1st. You will love it for all of your spring projects. The stamps are below and you can see how many there are in one set! I am very excited to play with my very first two-step set that is clear block! Yahoo! Click the link to the right for more details and hurry... this sneak peek ends this Friday!
This seed apron is darling. I came across it on one of the swap boards at regional a few weeks ago. I am going to use this (a variation of) as Mother's Day gift for my Sunday School kids. It will be quite simpler of course. Below is a swap... it's Carmen's so I have no idea who made this... but we received it at the Milwaukee regional... great job and props to you! Love it! Sera

Flick, not spritz, then use the puffer
If you saw this card live, you would notice that it goes the other way, but this works and my computer and I are fighting- it's winning. This is an anniversary card for my sister Karin and her husband. Those of you that went to regional saw this technique. I named it flicking, unless I heard that somewhere and it stuck. It's a fully inked stamp and then it's flicked with water, right on the stamp, then the image is stamped right onto the cardstock. Dark colors seem to be work the best. It's not spritzed, but it is puffed at the end, get it? Love these new verbs I'm using! Sera

Spring Gift and Card Making Class
I created some fun small gift samples for my upcoming class. The flowers on the Notes tablet are cut out of the Designer Series Papers. The other flowers are made using the Embosslits Cherry Blossom dies and our sanding block.
I also created my first digital scrapbook page using our My Digital Studio. Check this out! I am hosting my first open scrapping at my house this Wed, April 21st. More info is available at www.creativelee.stampinup.net Thanks! Lee Ann

Color Renovation
You may have seen it if you've been lurking around on various blogs... the color renovation! Yahoo! There are a bunch of colors that are going to retire in July, and if you look at the list... you may not miss too many. I may shed some tears for lovely lilac and close to cocoa, and even yoyo yellow has a need at some point. Wait until you see the new additions! I'll share those later, some links too. I am so excited for this change! Feel free to click on the chart to enlarge the view. Yahoo! Sera

Graduation Experiment
I've been starting to put graduation cards together and this one was an option, but the best part is on the inside. This came to me through Carmen, from Lee Ann and who knows where from there! The inside envelope fits a gift card. How clever is that. That envelope template is too small, so you have to adjust by folding your DSP in half, line it up on the 3rd scallop over, run it through, and it's just a tad larger... gift card size. Great ideas ladies and thank you! Sera

Fun Fish
You just have to love this card even if you aren't a fish girl. If the punch and stamp set look familiar... it's just another way to use that ornament punch and the stamp set that matches! A few scallops for fins and you are all set! This card reminds me of summer... who isn't ready for that? Kristine
